Accessibility Statement

This is a translation for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

for the service MetrixMundi (metrixmundi.de) including the Open Online Radar, provider: Cambium Holding UG (haftungsbeschränkt).

Since 28 June 2025, the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) has also applied to services offered to consumers in electronic commerce. Micro-enterprises that provide services are exempt from its requirements. In our assessment, Cambium Holding UG is such a micro-enterprise; there is therefore no obligation under the BFSG for MetrixMundi.

We nevertheless pursue accessibility — voluntarily. Our benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA. This statement sets out what of this has been implemented, what has been tested and where limitations exist.

What has been implemented

The following information applies to the pages of the Online Radar and, where stated, to the home page:

  • Plain-language explanation for every chart. Every diagram and every map has a reading aid in plain language that says what the chart shows and how to read it.
  • The values also as a list. The indicators are additionally shown as a list on the page, each with its value next to it. However, not every chart has its own data table (see "Known limitations").
  • Visible focus. A focus frame shows where you are with the keyboard.
  • Keyboard operation for the buttons and for expanding and collapsing the topic areas (Enter or space bar).
  • Less motion on request. If you have set "reduce motion" in your system, the pages do without animations; the home page also respects this setting.
  • Light and dark. The pages follow your system setting and can be switched.
  • Language marked up. The pages are marked up as German-language so that screen readers choose the correct pronunciation.

Before its publication, the home page will be tested automatically and manually against the same list; we will add the results here.

What has been tested

There is not yet an automated test against the WCAG rule sets for MetrixMundi. The features listed above are present in the source code of the pages; their effect has not been measured with a testing tool.

What has not been tested

  • the pages as a whole in an automated WCAG test
  • operation exclusively via the keyboard, across all pages
  • use with a screen reader
  • display at high magnification and in high contrast

Experience shows that automated tests find about one third of actual barriers. The points listed are therefore not declared accessible, but untested.

Known limitations

Interactive maps and diagrams. The maps and diagrams of the Online Radar are built as graphics (SVG) and can be explored with the mouse or by tapping. For screen readers, they are not fully accessible: they carry an overall label, but not every individual value of the chart is read out, and not every chart has its own data table. The content is made accessible by the plain-language reading aid and the list of indicators with their values (see above). On request, we will send you the values of a particular chart as a table.

PDF reports. Our PDF reports are not yet accessible PDF files (without structural tagging). You will find the same figures in the Online Radar.

Reporting barriers

Have you noticed a barrier, or do you need content in a different
form — for example the values of a chart as a table? Write to us:

Email: info@cambiumholding.de Post: Cambium Holding UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Im Haag 107, 66679 Losheim am See

We will reply as quickly as possible, at the latest within one month.

If you are of the opinion that, contrary to our assessment, MetrixMundi falls within the scope of the BFSG, you can contact the Market Surveillance Authority of the German Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen, MLBF).
