Usage and Licence Information

This is a translation for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

for the content of the Online Radar and the reports of MetrixMundi (metrixmundi.de).

In brief

  • The figures come from official statistics and other published sources. They are subject to the licences of these sources. Source, data status and licence are stated next to every indicator.
  • Screenshots are welcome — with the source line shown on the page.
  • Our compilation, analysis and design are © Cambium Holding UG (haftungsbeschränkt).

The licences of the sources

Which licence applies is stated next to the respective indicator. The most common are:

Licence What it requires
Data licence Germany – attribution – version 2.0 (Datenlizenz Deutschland – Namensnennung – Version 2.0) Attribution of the source (provider) and the licence; a notice if the data have been modified
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Attribution of the source and the licence with a link; a notice if the data have been modified
CC0 1.0 (public domain dedication) no condition; we nevertheless name the source

Maps. The territorial boundaries come from EuroGeographics for Europe and from © GeoBasis-DE / BKG for Germany (in each case with the year of issue stated on the map). For the European boundaries, the source attribution reads: "This product includes data licensed from © EuroGeographics". Anyone who reuses a map includes these attributions.

If a stricter condition than those above applies to an individual indicator, this is stated next to the indicator.

If you reuse figures or charts

Please state:

  1. the original source and its licence, as stated next to the indicator,
  2. the data status,
  3. and, if you adopt our presentation or analysis, MetrixMundi as the editor.

Example of a source line from the Online Radar: "Source: Bertelsmann Stiftung, Wegweiser Kommune (CC0); primary source: statistics of the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit); own calculation."

You are welcome to use screenshots of pages of the Online Radar — in reports, presentations, articles or on social media —, provided the source line is visible in the image or stated beneath it.

Downloads. The Open Online Radar does not offer downloads. Tables for downloading will come later with the full Radar; they will then carry the licence and data status for each indicator, and the conditions stated apply to them as well.

What belongs to us

The selection and arrangement of the indicators, calculations such as rankings, classifications and comparison groups, the texts, charts, the page design and the MetrixMundi brand are © Cambium Holding UG (haftungsbeschränkt). With the exception of the screenshots and source lines permitted above, adopting our compilation — for example systematically copying entire pages or the data stock — requires our consent. Enquiries to info@cambiumholding.de.

The data stock of the Online Radar is a database within the meaning of §§ 87a et seq. of the German Copyright Act (Urheberrechtsgesetz, UrhG); extracting or redistributing it in whole or in substantial parts requires our consent. Pursuant to § 44b(3) UrhG, we reserve the use of our pages for text and data mining. This reservation is stored in machine-readable form in the files robots.txt and ai.txt of our website.

No warranty beyond the sources

We take the figures from the sources named carefully and with proof of origin. We cannot vouch for their accuracy to any greater extent than the sources themselves; sources occasionally correct their figures retrospectively. In case of doubt, the publication of the source is authoritative. The Online Radar is not an official publication and does not constitute advice.

Liability

We are liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, fraudulent concealment of a defect, to the extent of a guarantee given, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).

In cases of simple negligence, we are only liable for the breach of an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper use of the Online Radar possible in the first place and on whose observance you may rely; in this case, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage.

Otherwise, our liability is excluded. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Have you found an error? Write to us at info@cambiumholding.de — we will check it against the source and correct it.
